- Learn musical skillsfor a lifetime of enjoymentPiano Lessons
At every level of ability, piano playing opens up a world of beauty and discovery. Piano students learn to play the piano with a well-balanced body and a focused mind. They learn to read music, and understand music theory. Playing the piano helps students learn to listen to themselves and others, and to communicate emotions in the language of music.
In addition to weekly private lessons, piano students participate in seasonal recitals and supplemental group classes. Suzuki methods and materials provide a framework, and additional repertoire is chosen from classical and contemporary music, based on the student's interest.
For children ages 3 and up, parental involvement is supported, and encouraged. It is never too late to learn to play the piano, and adult students are always welcome.
In this music program, all are honored and welcome. Our strength is our diversity.

I have always loved to sing and play the piano, and I have been fortunate to study music throughout my lifetime. I started piano lessons as a young child, added voice and organ lessons during high school, and continued to study music in college and beyond. As a young professional, I worked as a classical singer. I have taught music lessons in private practice for decades.
I am an active member of the international community of Suzuki music teachers. I have attended the biennial conference of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and the Suzuki Conference of the Americas in Mexico. I participate regularly in summer Suzuki Institutes, and I have taken Suzuki teacher training courses in Piano, and Early Childhood Education.
I am the parent of four adult children, all of whom play music.

Simply put, music study improves our lives. It strengthens us as individuals, while it deepens our connections to our community and the world. Music sharpens our minds, speaks directly to our hearts, and adds beauty to our everyday lives. Music brings out our best qualities as people.
As music educator Shinichi Suzuki (1898-1998) said, "Music exists for the purpose of growing an admirable heart." Music expresses and enhances our humanity. It is a message of hope for the world, in a language everyone can understand.
"Perhaps it is music that can change the world!"-- Pablo Casals
"Every child can!"-- Shinichi Suzuki
